OPEN POSITIONS

Artist and Audience Services Manager

Time Commitment: Full-Time, estimated average of 40 hours/week
Compensation: $45,000/year salary, exempt position

Position Description: The Jungle Theater seeks an Artist and Audience Services Manager that plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Theater, as well as leading our efforts to create a welcoming experience for artists and patrons. This position is responsible for all aspects of Jungle Theater’s box office, including supervising a staff of customer service representatives and concessionaires, and providing artist support services to local and out-of-town artists that supports the creative process. The Artist and Audience Services Manager reports directly to the Managing Director and works in close communication and collaboration with all other Jungle staff.

The Jungle works under the Small Professional Theatres (SPT-8) contract, which requires a minimum of 66% AEA cast members, plus an AEA stage manager. Our current LOA allows for 38 hours of rehearsal per week and seven shows per week. We employ both AEA members and non-union actors. Equity Membership Candidates are able to accrue work weeks from Jungle contracts.

The Jungle frequently uses directors who belong to Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), as well as designers who are members of United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829. However, these union memberships are not required to work with us.

Backstage, the Jungle is also a union house, including technical directors, scenic carpenters, props craftspeople, scenic painters, electricians, stagehands, stitchers and wardrobe technicians.

The Jungle accepts scripts through literary agents only. Please allow up to six weeks for submissions to be reviewed. Further questions can be directed to submissions@jungletheater.org.
